Wordpress got a new spellchecker.

September 9th, 2009 by Afraithe

Check out this video of Wordpress new spellchecker, it uses AI to not only spellcheck words, but also check your grammar and make suggestion on changes to your text.

It is in by default in the hosted Wordpress, but can also be installed in your self-hosted Wordpress blog, it replaces the built in spellchecker in TinyMCE.

The spell checker is called “After the Deadline” and is aquired by Automattic, congrats to a great spellchecker.

Check out the plugin and how to install it here.

    Afraithe,
This post only tells half the story. After the Deadline is also available as a TinyMCE plugin meaning developers who use TinyMCE (I’ll admit it, I love TinyMCE) can add this functionality to their apps too.

You are of course right Raphael.

I know Spocke has tried to contact you (and I tried to email Matt as well) regarding possibly doing something with ATD and TinyMCE, it would be cool if we could have the plugin included in the package maybe, but we can’t have any php stuff in it, so we should do it all with JSONP instead.

Get in touch and lets talk about it.
